Landlord EICRs, HMO inspections and remedial work across Greater Manchester and Cheshire
Reports based only on the condition of the installation, never on follow-on work.
We believe an electrical inspection should be based only on the condition of the installation. Our approach protects landlords, tenants and letting agents by keeping the inspection and any repair work completely separate, so the report is never influenced by the prospect of follow-on work.
Electrical inspection and testing can only be carried out by qualified electricians, which means the person inspecting is also competent to carry out repairs. That is exactly why we keep the two apart. No repair work is quoted or discussed during an inspection. The report is issued first, and you can review it without any pressure.
Reports use the standard classification codes and plain English:
Where action is needed, the report sets out the timescale, usually 28 days, so you know where you stand on compliance.
After the inspection, you decide what happens next. You can ask us for a separate fixed quote, or appoint any other contractor you prefer. If you use us, the work is re-tested and you receive written confirmation for your tenants and, if asked, the council.
A report issued in good faith, rather than to generate work, gives landlords and agents confidence in the result, and gives tenants confidence in their home. It also means a pass is a genuine pass.
